The Liebester Award Tag

I thought of opening this post with a funny little bit of dialogue like, "Oh, hello there!  *smiles and waves* You didn't expect to see me here, did you?" but that seemed cliché to me.  What do you think?  Instead, let's open it with....

...Mr. Collins dancing at the ball.  Yeah, there we go.  Much less cliché. 😜

I thought I had published this tag.  I'm sorry it's been so long since you've seen anything here.  I've been very busy at Maidens for Mary and tutoring Latin.  I'm glad you're here though.  Well, I'm not 100% sure any more where this award came from, but I'd still like to answer the questions to share them with you all! Without further ado...here we go!

1. Are you a dog-person, or a cat-person, or both?

I'm really more of a dog person. Cats can be cute, but dogs are man's best friend. I love my dog!

2. Do you have a song stuck in your head right now? If so, what is it?
The Story of the Tucks was stuck in my head this morning playing over and over!!  "'You can lead a horse to water'... 'I think she knows the phrase!'"  I love the Tucks... *sighs*

3. How big is your TBR pile? (TBR= To Be Read)

Oh. It's big.  (So far it's 258 titles on GR.)  I have the rest of the AoGG series, books on faith and discernment, MANY Jane Austen books, fun books that are probably below my reading level, new novels my grandma has given me, Mrs. Willows by the lovely Emma Forbes (I don't actually have a copy yet, shame on me,) and oh so many others!! (Here's my TBR shelf on Goodreads. 😉)

4. Do you like blogging?

Yes, I love blogging. It's a way I can connect with friends, like minded people, and share what I love with others.  I have sort of moved on from this blog, but I still mean to finish up some old draft posts. You can find more of my recent work here and here!!

5. If you could live in any time period, which would you choose?
Ooooh... I think the early 1900's. The culture was refined, dresses were gorgeous, faith and morals were held in high esteem. And the hairstyles were beautiful! :D

6. Girly-girl, or t-shirt and jeans?
Girly-girl, all the way! I love my heels, skirts, dresses, lace and pretty jewelry!

7. What are a few of your favorite books? (you can list ten, if you really, really have to)
Well, since you asked!  ;) In no particular order...
  • Anne of Green Gables
  • Pride and Prejudice
  • A Lantern In Her Hand
  • Mary Was Her Life: The Story of Sister Maria Teresa Quevedo
  • All Creatures Great and Small
  • He is My Heaven: The Life of Elizabeth of the Trinity by
  • The Narnia series
  • Emma
  • The Rose and the Sword
  • The Story of a Soul

8. Do you have any pets?
Yes, my big red dog, Clifford.

9. Do you like to travel by plane?
I do!  I very much enjoyed it when I was little.  I've gotten a little more motion sick during turbulence on more recent trips, but I still enjoy the whole experience. Especially the snacks!  ;)

10. What is your least-favorite food, and why?
Oh boy... I can't name one.  Maybe orange chicken especially in the frozen packages.  It tends to be too chewy or gristly for me.

11. When you're not reading/writing, what do you like to do in your spare time?

I love to color my adult coloring books, chat with friends on Skype or Google Hangouts, and when the weather's nice, I like to ride my bike.  Pinterest is also a big thing. 😊

I so wish this was me!!

I know it was sort of short, but, what a fun tag!  Feel free to answer your favorite questions below in the comments!  Thanks for stopping by!!  God bless!

(Sorry, just had to.  Ben Cook makes any post better.  You're welcome.)

  2. Okay, why wasn't that opening GIF in the movie??? I call that a grievous omission, LOL.

I agree 100% on the dog-person stance. And I squeaked with pleasure when I saw the WCTH picture....#unashamedfangirl

I would probably join you in the early 1900s! It's such a cool time period :)

    Awesome tag, Sarah!!

P.S. I somehow doubt that this blog will die off completely :)
