Ups and Downs

Well, I'm sitting here on the couch with a cold, so I think I'll read some blogs on my Reading List.
Oh look!  I have quite a bit to catch up on!😲

All the Answers @ Wonderland Creek
Combinations of things. @ Wonderland Creek
Our Past Matters. @ Yet Another Period Drama Blog
Cornwall with parents + an afternoon with Eritreans @ Ave Philomena!
Just dropping in on you... @ Raindrops on Roses and Whiskers on Kittens

Food for Thought @ Meanwhile in Rivendell...
Kindred Spirits @ Lavender Spring

Wow, thank you so much y'all for your beautiful posts.  Each and every one of them sure brought a smile to my face.

You know, that gives me an idea for a blog post since I have nothing else to do.  Why don't we name it "Ups and Downs".  I certainly have had plenty of those recently in my life!

Up- We got season 4 of When Calls the Heart on Amazon!!  It's so wonderful!

When Calls the Heart season 4

Down- I really don't want to see any spoilers, so I'll just have to wait to start pinning from this season until after we've finished it. (Anyone know when season 5 comes out?)

Up- I discovered the beautiful soundtrack of Anastasia the Musical on YouTube!!  (I should be listening to this while I write!  And you should too!!)

Down- Is there a down to this??

Up- Now that I am finished with school, I have plenty of time to accomplish some extra curricular things I'd like.

Down- Since I've practically lost my voice, I can't go audition for Oliver. 😭

Up- I watched Mary Poppins last night.  It's been forever since I've seen it!! 😲  It's so sweet, cute, and perfect for when you need a cheerful, feel-good movie! ❤

Down- We tried to find our Pollyanna DVD last night, but to no avail.  Guess we just have to keep looking!  (St. Anthony!!)

Up- My birthday is 6 days away!! 😲 I can't believe I'll officially be an adult! 🎉

Down- I'm not entirely sure what to do for my birthday... We talked about going to see Newsies at Tuacahn, but that's not going to happen.

Up- I've been working on my first real story that I started a few years ago.  It's really quite fun.  I especially love my story board that I created on Pinterest.  Here, would you like a sneak peak? 😉

Down- I'm not sure I describe details enough when I'm writing.  I feel like I'd bore readers to death!

Anywhoo... I suppose I should give my eyes a rest from this screen.  I wish I could go outside and enjoy the sunshine like Natalie told her readers to do, but soon enough I will.

How've you been?  I'd love to read some comments!  God bless!

  2. Writing is so much fun! It's hard to say if you describe enough details or not, but I say just go with whatcha got. You can always add more later when you think about it. :P

  3. That was a very sweet post, Sarah. And thank you for linking my blog, that makes me happy :)

HAPPY (day after your) BIRTHDAY!!! I hope you had a splendid birthday and were significantly recovered from your bout with the sniffles so as to enjoy it.

Hmm... I don't usually struggle too much with writing detail (that's one of my favorite parts so if anything I'm usually worried I have more than I need), but I'd suggest if you're in doubt to pause for a moment and read the description you've written and compare it to how it looks in your head. If there are certain details in your mind that you aren't conveying on paper just remember the reader only knows what you've told her :)

Oh, oh! Your storyboard looks so sweet and pretty and like such a great story! I look forward to reading it when you publish it one day :)
