It's Christmas Time Again!!

Merry Christmas!!!

Wow! Advent passed sooo fast!!!  I'm sorry I didn't post twice last week!  My family has been so busy!  We went to see three plays; Meet Me In St. Lewis, White Christmas, and the Nutcracker ballet!  They were all amazing!  It's been a wonderful December and there are just days until Christmas!!!!
So it's that time of year again!  My family has decorated the house, the tree, and the yard!  I just absolutely love this time of year.  It is the time when we remember our Savior's birth, the humble arrival into the world.  The King of kings had a feeding trough as His crib!  I'm really trying to remember this and the real reason for the season.

What is your favorite part of Christmas?  I love singing all of the songs and sitting by the tree at night with all of the house lights off and the glow of the tree lights filling the room. :)  It reminds me of Jesus' light, the light of the star, and the light we need to share with others showing God's love at Christmastime. :D
I also love going to Mass on Christmas morning!  It's wonderful with all of the poinsettias around the manger and the beautiful hymns the schola sings in harmony!  We will be doing Silent Night, Joy to the World, Hark the Herald Angels sing, and a new piece we learned called O Magnum Mysterium.
You can listen to it below  It is so beautiful!  It is one of my new favorite schola pieces!

I thought I would share two other blogs with you who have great Christmas posts.
Emma at majesticadventures.wordpress.com has a funny Christmas post with all of her favorite traditions!  I wish I could find the falling snow like Emma has at here blog!

And Verjinyah at Catching Our Lady's Roses is hosting a Christmas writing competition!  You can find the details here!  I hope you enjoy exploring some of my all time favorite blogs!  Please check them out!
We put our lights up on the house!

My favorite traditional songs are Silent Night, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen, and Joy to the World!  What are your favorite Christmas songs?  I have found some other new non-traditional songs that I absolutely love!
Jamie Grace's The King is Born Tonight is such a great song.
Francesca Battistelli's song "Chrsitmas is Almost Here" is one I love listening to over and over!

The Robertsons from A&E's Duck Dynasty have pulled off a redneck Christmas in Duck the Halls!

This is a really cute song with a twist on the Twelve days of Christmas!
Barlow Girl's Carol of the Bells/ Sing We Now of Christmas is very pretty.
Straight No Chaser's The Twelve Days of Christmas is awesome too!

And here is one of my favorite Christmas songs from Veggie Tales by Toby Mac and Owl City!
"Ligt of Christmas"
Enjoy!

I will post more Christmas pictures after Mass and such!!! :D

Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope you all have a blessed season and a happy new year!  I'm not sure how much I'll be able to post after Christmas before the new year, but please stay tuned!  I'll have more out soon!  God bless your Christmas season!!! :)
