Here are the questions:
1. Favorite cover of one of your favorite author's books
Well, you probably know by now that my favorite authoress is Lucy Maud Montgomery. But there are just too many beautiful covers to choose from!! I love Anne's hair, dress, and position on the cover of Anne of Avonlea above and I love her dress, the house, and the whole look of the cover on Anne's House of Dreams.
2. A cover featuring a sunset
I've never really thought about sunsets on covers before... There aren't very many on my goodreads books. Hm... I think this is a sunset, but since it's been a while since I've read Young Pioneers, it could be a fire in the fields. (I thought the tragedy was locust, so I'm pretty sure this is a sunset, though.)
Just gorgeous, isn't it?
Disclaimer: I haven't read this book and therefore can't vouch for it, but it received the Catholic Writer's Guild Seal of Approval and is on my TBR list.
4. Favorite romantic cover
I don't have a lot of these either. While I was going to say Kilmeny of the Orchard first, I found The King of the Golden City and thought, "What a beautiful romance between the King and his little servant." This is definitely my favorite romantic cover, all the way!
5. A cover with a historic dress you would wear
Ok, ok, I know this isn't a dress, it's a blouse and skirt, but when Catherine used it, I just knew I had to too. I would love to dress just like that and teach in a one room school house.
It's a religious book, the life of a Saint, and a novel all at the same time. Yay!
Well, it's not especially beautiful water, such as a waterfall, but it is a pretty cover.
I know this list isn't super aesthetically gorgeous. I guess I don't read very many new and beautiful books. Cover art can be deceiving. So, don't judge a book by it's cover. True beauty is always on the inside!
Also, I couldn't do this post without using the lovely cover of Mrs. Willows.
Go check out this book by my dear friend, HERE!
Now, for my questions!
1. Your most favorite cover
2. Favorite Spring book cover
3. Favorite cover of one of your favorite author's books
4. Favorite cover of a religious book
5. Cover with flowers
6. You could see yourself on this cover
7. Favorite 2D/cartoon cover
(Here's an example 😉)
So, who reads this blog? If you do and you love book covers, I nominate YOU! 😃 Please feel free to kidnap adopt this tag!! Have fun!
Haha, you snatched that tag really fast, girl! I love all of the covers you picked - especially Mara and A Soldier Surrenders. And yes that whole Special collections cover set for the Chronicles of Avonlea *swoons*
ReplyDeleteThanks!! :D If I had to pick a favorite Special Edition cover, it would probably be Anne's House of Dreams (that book is one of my favorites too,) but puweeeaaasseeee don't ever make me! ;)
